Goal
The Circle is located within the rural set up of lemisiguyo village. It was established in 1999 with 27 members. The aim of the Circle is to make a difference in the lives of its members through community capacity building in the areas of HIV/AIDS, out of school programme.
The Circle operates a merry-go–round and runs a revolving loan scheme geared towards financing small-scale businesses for members.
The Circle activities include: small shops, groceries, livestock, cereals buying/selling, bee keeping.
The Circle is also involved in civic education to promote civil peace and co-existence amongst different communities.
The project raises money through merry-go-rounds and has facilitated formation of other two Circles.
The Circle has; · Enrolled the highest number of out of school programme pupils; · Championed on the child rights particularly the girl child (Sixty (60%) of those enrolled in the out of school programme centres are girls) · Mobilised the community to respond to issues and activities concerning education particularly the non-formal, HIV/AIDS and child rights.
The most challenge the Circle faces is lack of markets to sell their commodities i.e. honey and lack of technical managerial skills and inadequate Monitoring and Evaluation systems.
