About Us
boNGO 'based on Need-driven Grassroots Ownership' Worldwide was founded in 2007 by four international volunteers working with rural Malawian communities. The acronym of our name describes the necessary platform for sustainability in cultural development agencies and programs. Our primary emphasis is early childhood development, and we use the entry point of a child in the village and their Community Based Childcare Center (CBCC) as the foundation for education, health, food security, and social wellbeing development for the whole community. We operate programs with two rural Malawian communities, as well as practice development education forums in Malawi, the USA, and the Czech Republic, so far.

We currently have two volunteers in Malawi and two in Europe.
Goal
A model of sustainable community development which may be adopted by and adapted to any community in any culture.
